Usually Easter in Jamaica is associated with bun and cheese but not this year. Jamaica is the proud country host of this year's staging of the Carifta Aquatic Championships. The following disciplines will be in the national aquatics pool starting this weekend Water Polo, Synchronize Swimming and Swimming. Carifta dates March 16 - April 4 2018. Open Water is held at the beautiful James Bond Beach in St. Mary on April 4th.
Our club will be represented in Water Polo this weekend - Zachary Jackson Blaine, Nicholas Donaldson and Joel Parnell are members of the boys teams Under 14, 16 and 19. Four countries with male and female teams will be in the pool Bahamas, Barbados, Curacao and Jamaica.
Good luck guys and all the best in the competition.

Keep your fingers on the newsfeed more to come on our swimmers who made the swimming team.
Our Tornadoes Girls had an awesome day last Sunday February 25th up at Forres Park, Mavis Bank.
The day was arranged to celebrate our 'Girl Power' as they had topped the points table standing at the recently concluded WRAGC the weekend before.
The day was fun filled with hiking, pedicures, play, a group talk, and a delicious meal. Coach Wendy, members of the executive, swim moms and one of our founding members Monica Ingleton and over thirty of our swimmers enjoyed the beautiful location up in the mountains.
We are number one. Our girls are number one.
Thanks to team Tornadoes, Forres Park and Coleen Lyn
The curtain closed on another great weekend of Tornadoes swimming. After four full days of swimming with qualifying heats in the morning for our 11 and Overs and finals in the evening when our 10 and unders joined in the fun we had some awesome swims everyday.
Many swimmers had personal best times for most of their events, and in some final events we had five or more swimmers. Our evening sessions were full of excitement energy and lots of cheering as our swimmers did their best.
Relays ended every session with lots of excitement. Our points standing has us in 2nd place. We await the official results. All results can be found at www.asaj.com.jm on the Results page.
Aliyah Heaven and Nathaniel Thomas won high point trophies for their respective age groups.
Congrats team Tornadoes
