Two of our swimmers are part of a Jamaican team being represented at the first ever UANA Swimming Cup. UANA is a swimming federation that joins three regions of the Americas excluding America and Canada. The regions are Carifta, CCCAN and the countries of South America.
Sabrina and Nathaniel will compete over three days starting today in six and seven events respectively. They both will compete in the fly events, Sabrina in the two IM and breaststroke events and Nathaniel in the free events. The meet should be up on meet mobile.
Despite the chilly weather swimmers are exuberant and looking forward to some great swims and presonance best times. Both swimmers are now in a new age group 13 -14.
The meet begins with an opening ceremony. Competition begins at noon and all races are timed finals.
Have fun Sabrina and Nathaniel,

Big Smiles for a Happy Christmas in Haiti.
This year we donated gifts to the "Mission to Haiti", a project of the Michael Carter Ministries, at our recent Carol Service. Our gifts traveled to Haiti and brought big smiles to the children of the community in which they were distributed.
This is what the act of giving brings - feelings of joy and happiness to both the giver and receiver. Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love. Lao Tzu.
Thanks to Simone Mignott for helping to choose the charity and delivering the gifts each year to the selected charity. Thanks team Tornadoes for your generosity. Enjoy the pictures (click to enlarge).
