Masters Greatness

IMG 20190201 WA0001Our quartet of Kadian,  Kristina, Santiago and Craig showcased their swimming prowess this weekend at the Karl Dalhouse/YSPEEDOS meet 2019.

This team won the freestyle and medley relays in record time. They also swam individual events and brought joy and excitement to the stands and made our club proud.

This is an open invitation to our parents to come join our masters swimming program at the stadium Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays mornings at 5:30am. We want as many swimmers entered for the next meeting and for 2019.

These smiles say it all "Tornadoes Greatness"

Sending Up our Dreams for 2019

IMG 20181221 WA0000Our annual Christmas Carol Service was held on Dec 20th 2018 at the beautiful residence of the Anderson family. (Don, Kishka-Kay, Sara-Marie and Victoria)

The evening was planned and executed through the executive and the generous spirit of teamwork led by the group reps and the following team of Annelies, Alesha, and Kishka-Kay. Congrats team for a beautiful evening.

We were treated to song, dance, viola/violin recitals and poetry from our talented swimmers. Pastor Sean Williams brought a powerful message of great blessings on our club in our 30th year and for a excellent future. Mr. Denny was our dapper master of ceremony. And we sang carols accompanied with music and acapella.

The evening's highlight - each swim group was given a lantern to send off with the dreams and hopes for 2019. Swimmers were delighted and peals of screams echoed on the neighbourhood as each lantern lifted off into the evening sky.

Music and food, sorrel and Christmas cake added to the evening. Gifts were collected for our charity and special gifts were handed out to the coaches present by group reps.

In the crowd were past and present  Tornadoes parents, presidents and supporters. A beautiful evening to celebrate the greatness of the season within our club.
