Tornadoes wins at Open Water 2018
Sunday September 30th 2018 had in the forecast; rain and thunderstorms but what the organizers of the Lifespan 007 Open Water event in Orcabessa did not forecast was a tornado.
Over 30 swimmers young and old donned their swimsuits, coloured caps, on their "vasalined" and "numbered" bodies and certainly whipped up a whirlwind, storm, lightning, typhoon, hurricane, and cyclone on the 1K, 2K and 5K course.
There were many winners, to name a few, Alexa Critchlow, Daniel Mair, Kadian Ingleton, Lisa Griffiths and our awesome master swimmer who completed the 5K course Elizabeth Butler. (Liz came to Jamaica just to swim this race). This is Tornadoes GREATNESS.
The team of Daniel, Joshua, Khiara and Sabrina won the 5x250m relay event that had 5 teams from Tornadoes.
Congrats to all our swimmers who participated in this year's swim we are looking forward to more swimmers next year.
