2022 CARIFTA - Record Medal Haul for Team Jamaica

Congratulations Team Jamaica!

When the curtains came down on the 35th CARIFTA Swimming Championship held in Barbados from April 16 -19, 2022, Jamaica recorded its largest medal haul with 64 medals:17 gold, 25 silver and 22 bronze and finished 2nd in the overall points standing with a total of 833.5 points behind Bahamas' 975 points. Prior to this Championship, the largest medal haul was in 2019 when Jamaica bagged 59 medals.

On Day 4, the final day of competition, Jamaica demonstrated its continued strength in the sprint events winning it highest daily tally of 18 medals..
