Tornadoes Ready for Carifta 2019

IMG 20190417 WA0048Our Tornadoes swimmers are ready for this Easter weekend swimming championship in beautiful Barbados.

The team will departure with the Team Jamaica contingent on April 18th competition begins on April 20th.

Nelson, Kokolo, Jaleel, Nathaniel, Daniel, Sabrina and Zachary: two girls and five boys will get into action in the pool and open water events over five days.

The excitement begins on Saturday with the following events 1500m freestyle, 200m breast, 50m backstroke, 100m butterfly and the 4 x 100m free relays across all age groups.

Daniel Mair will start the competition in the 1500m free and he will end the championship in open water event on April 24th.

Anticipated races include the 100m series in all strokes and the relays.  Coaches and swimmers are confident for a great weekend with the possibilities of medals and records.

The theme of greatness will be on display this Carifta and we will have every reason to celebrate Go Tornadoes Happy 30th Anniversary.
